Located in the
district of Erlangen-Höchstadt, in Bavaria approximately 14 miles northwest of Nuremberg, Germany, Herzogenaurach are a small town famous for being the home
of esteemed sporting goods companies such as Adidas and Puma. The town is
located on the Aurach river, which is a tributary to the Regnitz river.

is the cradle of sporting good industries Puma and Adidas founded by Rudolf
Dassler and Adolf Dassler respectively. The headquarters of both companies is
still situated in the town opposite of the Regnitz river. The headquarters of
Schaeffler group is also located in the town. The weather of the town is
comfortable throughout the year with mildly cold winters and cozy summers. The
best time to visit Herzogenaurach is during spring as the weather becomes very
enjoyable and the snow has thawed out completely thus making the lush greenery
and beauty of the place a joy to watch. Accommodation in Herzogenaurach is
reasonable and hygienic as the hotels value their brand name and hence they are
very comfortable and tourist friendly. The water park Freizetibad Atlantis is a
great place for family and especially for children as it is not only safe but
it is fun as well. It has many slides and small pools thus making it a very
entertaining place however the one trip to Freizetibad Atlantis will be very
heavy on your pocket. Though slightly out of the limelight regarding tourism it
is one of the ideal tourist destinations for anyone who are looking to take a time
out from their hectic lifestyles and busy office schedules as it has the peace,
quiet and contentment of a remote village.
